History
Johnnie NV has a history that dates back over 100 years ago to the year
1861 for the purposes of mining and prosper by settlers. The largest
amount of growth here occurred in 1916 when the area flourished and the
mining companies were able to attract more people to the area in order
to mine the land. The success remained good until 1925 when the mining
took a dive due to problems financially. The area of Johnnie where the
mine lies is now a privately owned area that requires special
permission before entry is permitted.
Description
The closest area to Johnnie NV that is flourishing and the closest
thing to a city is Pahrump where you have a likely chance of finding
Nevada rental homes and other apartments for rent as well. Johnnie is a
very desolate area that is not a center of commerce, excitement, or
business but it has its own flair and charm that draw people in to
search for apartment rentals in the area. It is rich in history and has
one that dates back so far. Anyone who can appreciate the old west will
want to live somewhere that something so significant occurred.
Residents
The residents that live in the area are primarily middle aged. The cost
of living here is a bit lower than the average for the state because
there are so few attractions and government entities that may need to
be granted upkeep.
Rental housing
Nevada rental homes may not be the main attraction in Johnnie NV itself
but that doesn't mean the areas surrounding it don't have excellent
choices of apartments for rent. The selection of apartment rentals is
quite vast and includes other options for renting such as condos and
houses as well if the apartment living style isn't quite your personal
cup of tea.
Fun Stuff
Of course, Nevada rental homes shouldn't be the only focus you have
while you're here. There are plenty of other areas of interest and
things to do besides scout out the many different apartments for rent.
You may want to check out the site, with permission of course, where
all the mining occurred during the 1800's to get a feel for how life
was really like during that time period. The miners didn't have the
luxury of seeking out apartment rentals and instead had to endure tough
conditions while they worked for most of the day. Alternatively, you
can go to the nearby cities and enjoy festivals like the Pahrump Fall
Festival or even the Wild West Extravaganza which is also held in
Pahrump.
